Details
In my early fishing days I fished these 2 ponds loads, with some very mixed results. My PB (15lb Mirror) was taken from the small pond at at present that still stands today.

The first pond you encounter is affectionately known as the small pond. This is personally the best pond as sometimes the big pond gets overfished. Both ponds hold a very nice head of decent carp with the big pond tipping it with a reported 30lb+.

Roundwood was hit pretty hard by the floods and recently alot of big Pike have been showing. This got in from the nature reserve when the 3 ponds at the site merged into 1. As far as I am aware Pike caught in the ponds are been returned to the nature reserve although I haven't had this confirmed.

The fishing here can be a little touchy but in general you can expect a good days fishing, with maggot, corn, meat, and prawns been the favoured baits. Pole to about 8m feeder to middle (only allowed on big pond) or float to the margins been the favoured methods.

I HAVE FISHED THESE PONDS FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS NOW BUT ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO FELL OUT WITH IT DUE TO IT BEING OVER FISHED GIVING VERY BAD RESULTS, BUT SINCE THE NEW OWNERSHIP OF THE POND AND A FULL REVAMP LATER IT SEEMS TO BE FISHING ITS NUTS OFF . I MOSTLY NIGHT FISH THE LARGER POND IN THE MARGINS WITH POPUP GLOW IN THE DARK CORN ON THE HAIR RIG AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING ....AS EVERY VISIT SEEMS TO PRODUCE AT LEAST A COUPLE OF NICE DOUBLE FIGURE CARP...AND PLENTY OF RUNS....P.S.....MAKE SURE YOU TAKE SOME SWEETCORN..
